PBnJ Youth Group
People of B’nai Jehuah, what we call our B’nai Jehudah youth group, is an inclusive, safe, and fun space for our pre-teens and teens.
High School: The senior People of B’nai Jehudah Temple Youth Group (PBnJTYG) is for 9th-12th graders. Along with vibrant local programming with our friends at Congregation Beth Torah, PBnJ is part of the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) – Missouri Valley Region. This region includes 2 conferences a year that brings together Reform Jewish teens from Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, and Colorado.
Teens come together throughout the year for learning, fun, worship, community services, and social time. All in an effort to help members build and strengthen lifelong friendships with each other and deepen their connection with Reform Judaism. Our local programs celebrate the fun of community, developing Jewish minds, and nurturing leadership skills.
Middle School: Our middle school PBnJ brings 6th, 7th, and 8th together. Centered around social events, our primary goal is to grow the sense of community and celebrate just being Jewish in safe spaces. We host events throughout the year – at B’nai Jehudah and around the community.
Overnight/Shul-ins
We are excited to offer Shul-ins (overnights) at B’nai Jehudah, created specifically for various tweens & teen stages. We will host dinner, games, dessert, and other activities, and sleep in the Social Hall or Chapel. Bond with your classmates, see what the building looks like after dark, and bring your sleeping bag!
