Mitzvah Marketplace

December 18

9:45 am – 11:45 am

Parents are invited to join their religious school students in an amazing opportunity to engage in giving. Every Sunday morning, when our students bring tzedakah, they are contributing to the bank used for Mitzvah Market Place. On Sunday, December 18, in the social hall, you and your student will decide how to divide your tzedakah among the 12-15 agencies that participate. In the past one student’s donation has bought a teddy bear for a young child you had recently been diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Several students’ donations contributed to a house being built by Habitat to Humanity. This rare chance to see how much even a dollar can help, is priceless. Children making these tough decisions with their parents is also priceless. And making this donation in honor of an aunt, uncle, grandparent, or special adult in the child’s life, is a priceless gift to give.

Please continue sending your students with tzedakah each week!  Watch your email for the following details about Mitzvah Market Place:

  • The class rotation schedule
  • The B’nai Tzedek program for grade 6
  • The Machane Jehudah program
  • How you can help, even if you don’t have students in the religious school (we love our volunteers)!
