A backbone of the religious school is our Madrichim program. Students who are in 7th grade and above can volunteer in our Sunday morning classrooms as assistant teachers. Our Madrichim program runs in tandem with the Yalla! calendar, and many middle and high schoolers work in the classrooms while their younger siblings attend Yalla!
A madrich/madricha has a variety of responsibilities in the classroom – chief among them building meaningful connections with students, guiding them through activities, modeling positive Jewish values, and helping to run the Yalla! experience with safety and enthusiasm. Madrichim also enjoy social and educational programs throughout the year that help them bond as a group, learn leadership and classroom management, and provides a space to process daily experiences. This a great opportunity for middle and high schoolers who enjoy babysitting, attending or leading camp, or have an interest in pursuing a career in education.
