The Congregation provides its members a wide variety of opportunities to get involved in their community. Help us "repair the world," or at least part of it! Please consider volunteering with the Chesed Committee some time to one or more of the following activities.
Friendly Visitors - visit residents in area Nursing Homes and deliver Holiday packages to residents six times during the year. Establish an ongoing relationship with a Jewish nursing home resident.
Post Hospital/Shut In Telephone Follow-Up - call members of the congregation who have been hospitalized, once they have returned home. Al Kohlman is the coordinator.
Bereavement Telephone Follow-Up - call and/or visit congregants who have recently experienced a loss.
Transportation Assistance - provide occasional transportation to senior members of the congregation who wish to attend Temple worship services and programs.
Shabbat/Holiday Connection - help arrange home hospitality so that our Temple families can share Shabbat and holiday celebrations with other families.
Care Givers Relief - spend time
with a patient, home-bound or in the hospital, providing relief
to the care-giver so that they may have a change of scenery.
